alhamdulillah, earlier this month, i've been invited to join Recreation Skills 1 for their outdoor trip to Teratak Riverview, Tanjung Malim, Perak. well, it has been a long time since i joined this program. owh, before that, as for your information i've been joining this activity since my UG. hehe^^
well, actually, the invitation came from our dearest senior, Br. Ayie, one of the Task Force seniors. hehe..so he conveyed the message to my friend, Sue, and then i got invited. we went there under the capacity as First Aiders ^^. boleh lah nak lepas gian kan? gian nak turun standby hehe ^^
ok then, stop babbling. i'll explain my beautiful gateway through pictures okay? since i know, pictures worth a thousand words right? ^^ so, let's cekidaud!

the view from our dormitory. as for the assistant trainers (both of us) we've been placed in the dormitory as to ensure that all of us get enough rest for the program. but as for me, i prefer myself to be with the students at the campsite. yaaaa..because i'm a First Aider as well a First Responder merangkap Trainer for First Aid Skills. so you know the thing that worries me much right? ^^
this would be the jambatan gantung from our dormitory. actually, this is just an alternative to cross the river. there are another options, river crossing to the campsite and also take the main bridge there. so which one would you prefer? ^^
they have to set up their tents, so in order to set it up, they have to decide their entrance lah..pintu masuk dan keluar, so senang nak control masa sentry nanti.
so as you can see, mula, mula, semua berterabur..ye dok?
and at last, jadi la cenggituh, susunan yang cantik! ^^ Congrats kids!
okay, as you can see, mereka harus memasak, maka kami harus standby. even masa mereka makan, kami harus standby. kalau kami tengah makan, dan mereka tercedera, maka, kami harus cuci tangan, tinggalkan nasi, dan treat mereka dahulu ^^ maka, beg merah yang disandang oleh kawan saya itu, bukan beg semata, tetapi, penuh dengan segala First Aid equipments! menarik tak? ^^
other than cooking, a tutorial on how to use compass had been lectured, and an orienteering practical as a tool to test the compass knowledge. interesting jugak kan?
wahaahahahahaha! kenapa muka budak ni berada di sini? handsome? heh? bukan le...kalau handsome, takdeknye muka adik kena belah..hehe ^^ cuba tengok muka dia betul betul, part mata tu, kena sengat lebah. mula mula, dia terkena sengat berhampiran dengan telinga, then dekat tepi mata, and lastly, dekat bawah mata. sungguh kasihan kan? biru tuh..sebenarnya muka budak ni dah bengkak. macam alien dah jadinya. disebabkan ini adalah front view, maka tak berapa nak perasan sangat.
so we brought that boy here, for the injection. bee stings is a no joke accident, you have to get a shot and drink gallons of water. that's it.
as we were waiting for that budak, we found out this old Malay house. the location is within the Clinic's compound, and macam empty kan?. Looking spooky huh? of course, it's near to Maghrib. i snapped, and walked away. *scary* and alhamdulillah, after that that kid got one injection and some pills, of course. ^^, then we headed for our dinner at one of the nearest restaurants, treated by Abg Ayie. hehe..*bukan senang dapat peluang makan dengan senior tau!*
the next morning, we're the Trainer in charge for the First Aid section. as for this section, they have to apply critical thinking, leadership, communication and lifelong learning skills in order to save the victims from dangers and life threatening situations. so one of the members from each group acted as victims, and the scenarios given as to solve the problems and treat the casualties asap. marks were given according to the treatments applied and methods used.
take two..now you can see it clearly on how they extricated and treated the victim using Recreation method and steps without the aid from the First Aiders. bukan senang nak jadi First Aiders ni. other than the lesson that we taught in the class, we have to know the other suitable alternatives to save the victims depending on the circumstances and situations involved.
take three...there, students with life jackets were to start their water tubing activities.
take four.....they have to utilize every single thing they found in the forest in order to save the victim.

the first/ upper picture is explaining on the river crossing using rope.melawan arus.
that is river crossing without rope or aid, thus, they have to use stick.
and masa kami tengah conduct session, sebenarnya, 4x4 team ni memang dah bercamping lama kat sini. mereka masuk ke sini guna 4WD masing masing. one word to describe them. 'SMART!'. bukan owners yaaaaa....4WD tuuuuuuu! warna kuning tu yang lawa! well, as for your information, the journey to reach Teratak Riverview is 5km walking distance from the main road. and the road's condition itself memang teruk. siap ada budak luka dek poor and unstable road's condition. thus, bila mereka membawa 4WD kesayangan mereka ini, maka hati saya telah terjatuh chenta kepada 4WD color kuning ni! SEMAAAARRRRRRTTTT! *moron!* slaps forehead* (-_-)"

ok, ini gained attention from semua. why? ce tengok bebetol..4WD yang merah tu got stuck. so the other 4WD which have not crossed the river, have to offer help lah kan?

susah kan? but at last, berjaya jugak keluar dari air. kita orang pun sama berhenti kejap tengok kejadian tu. best ape? live depan mata, bukan senang nak tengok 4WD setinggi pokok depan mata. ye dok? hehe^^
ok, ini masa nak balik. macam dah pelarian pulak ku tengok semua ni, pakat berebut nak letak barang dalam lori. sebab ada yang kena carry sendiri, lorries tak muat nak load semua barang, bags, camping equipments lagi, and tents. my bags? selamat dah dalam van Trainers. maka, selepas ini, bermulalah perjalanan kami sepanjang 5KM yang menyebabkan kami kuyup. but alhamdulillah, i managed to finish it within 45 min! Power Walk! hehe^^
kenapa budak ni renyih kat sini? bukan sengaja duk merenyih.....hehe... nampak tak nama UIA kat belakang tu? bermakna, kita tengah ada program kat sini. puas kami cari nama UIA kat canteen depa, tapi tak berjumpa jumpa juga why? sebabnya.....semua organisasi or institut yang datang, mereka akan paste nama organisasi or institut mereka di situ. so sampai ke hari terakhir pun kami tak jumpa jumpa nama UIA, tup tup, nama UIA berada di Program board. hehe...
selepas kuyup selama 15 min, aka lencun, i was the first to hop on this bus, and as you can see in the above picture, our bus had been filled with guys only! and they didn't even realized that both of us were there. they changed themselves into kain pelekat la..tukar baju la...only God knows how we felt. Tunduk memanjang..kalau boleh, muka tu nak mencecah lantai bus! maluuuuuuuuu!. bila mereka tersedar barulah mereka malu...*pulas telinga kang!* hehe
ok, back to title itself. why am i saying a beautiful gateway? because, this place itself is a breath taking scenery, the fresh air, nice and beautiful woods, fresh water and river. and the temperature itself! during dawn, it is colder than the air-cond! Brrrrrrr! hehe..so memang beautiful lah kan?
okay! that's all from my Teratak Riverview gateway. later i'm gonna post on my short trip to Terengganu. attending wedding lah of course. hehe..
